When we returned from New York at the end of last winter, we knew that we had seen the next big thing.

The Fall – Winter 2013/14 viewing of Dolce & Gabbana looked like Golders Green at its best.
Beautiful, tailored grey tweed suits –we called it!– and black coat dresses, everything was classic, and yet so modern.
And skirt lengths? It seems that someone up there made them just for us…

1 . Soft Feminine Hair
Loosely gathered hair, perfect for winter in the city, completes this sophisticated look.
Hairstyles on the Dolce & Gabbana catwalk had softly gathered sides swept back with a clearly defined centered part. A bit of volume up top gave a sixties feel to the look and added another element of style to their take on the classic suit.
These styles are perfect for wigs because the hair is swept down from the forehead and over the ears hiding the lines of the wig.
2. Makeup in deep, bold colors
Makeup in winter colors combines strength and femininity. Here you can see how wine red lipstick adds a dash of determination and sophistication to an otherwise conservative look.
3. Overlarge Accessories
Large gold chains, chandelier earrings and retro sunglasses offset the image of the suit to great affect. Note the unusual combination of stone studded gold jewelry with a conservative gray suit. The use of gold and ruby tones add much warmth to a potentially staid look.
